What Is The DABCI Exam?

Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI) certification provides formal recognition of specialization in the diagnosis and treatment of internal disorders. One of the requirements for completing a diplomate is passing the American Board of Chiropractic Internists computer-based exam, offered by the NBCE at Prometric Test Centers nationwide. DABCI requires approximately three hours of test administration time, divided into two equal sessions of 90 minutes each.

How Do I Apply for the Exam?

You must apply for the exam through the MyNBCE Online Account Portal. Contact support@nbce.org to update your account. The NBCE will send the request for approval to the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (ABCI) to insure prerequisite training has been completed. Once approved, you may pay and schedule through the MyNBCE Online Account Portal.

Test Site and Test Site Rules

The DABCI Computer-Based exam is administered by the NBCE and available at Prometric testing centers across the country.

The NBCE is committed to exam security. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled exam to complete admission procedures. The only item allowed in the secure testing area is a valid government-issued photo ID. The NBCE will provide a place to store a car key/fob (one key allowed). Please review the Test Site Rules before you arrive to take your exam.
